Amsterdam Student Film Festival - Deadline May 19th

The first Amsterdam Student Film Festival (ASFF) will take place on the 9th of June 2023, hosted by Kriterion Film Theatre, CUT and sponsored by Cineville. ASFF aims to offer a stage to young creatives, a space to be daring and unconventional on the screens of one of Amsterdam’s oldest film theaters.

This initiative is the product of CUT’s 2022 film festival and Kriterion’s former festival, Cinestud, where makers such as Paul Verhoeven, Roman Polanski and Martin Scorsese shared their first films. In this year’s edition, ASFF intends to pave the way for a more inclusive and interactive evening, welcoming any and all Amsterdam based students to apply. Our jury panel consisting of film professionals, published authors and experienced makers will provide constructive feedback to the selected films. In this way, ASFF intends to offer an opportunity for Amsterdam’s filmmakers and enthusiasts to connect. This coming June, a selection of the best short films will be screened to a Jury and Audience. Winners will be given a prize, courtesy of Cineville. We encourage you to submit your work!

Any and all students going from higher education institutions, such as universities, hogeschool, art schools, technical schools from Amsterdam and such are welcomed to submit. If you have any further questions contact [email protected]
